old GPS 40 Update

Hallo,

Habe ebenfalls noch ein altes Garmin GPS 40 mit der Version 2.31!

Falls jemand ein Firmware Update hat, ich wäre sehr dankbar!

Ich habe infos vom Technical support bekommen, bin gerade am "erproben". Ich habe den EOW-patch installiert, also runterladen und aufspielen. Ob's ohne klappt weis ich nicht. Er hat nicht geschrieben, das es zwingend erforderlich ist...Probiert es einfach aus. Den Patch gibt es bei

please try the following.

turn the gps off. then press PAGE+ON HOLDING IT DOWN TILL THE GPS COMES ON.
This will auto locate satellites. If you have not used the gps for a while
it can take 1-2 hours to relocate. leave on with a clear view of the sky.

Thanks for so quick respond, I'll try that.
Strange as well though is, that since I used the eow update recentliy the
date is set to 1st of May 2005...
Does that change automatically?
